Online Backup

Ask yourself these 3 questions:

  • What information is critical to your business ?
  • What would I do if I couldn't access that information right now?
  • In the event of a disaster, can I get that information back ?

You should already know that your business data is one of the most important assets of your company that you cannot afford to lose. If your company just backs up data on-site, i.e. within your office premises, your data will be lost in the event of a disaster. Therefore, the most effective method to protect your data is to back up your data offsite.

What's the solution?

First WebBackup allows you to securely backup your important information to a rock solid offsite environment. Each backup will be stored in a secured datacenter . Each server has the latest RAID technology to ensure that your data is safe.

What about my Bandwidth costs? Won't it cost a lot to back up all my info?

There's no question: The cost of bandwidth in South Africa is very high at the moment.

So that's why we have done 2 things to help you with this:

  • For your initial backup we offer a data collection service. We will come to your site and do the initial backup to a external hard disk drive. That drive is then taken to our datacenter and uploaded to the storage facility.
  • After your first backup all backups are incremental. This means that the First WebBackup software checks on your computer which files have changed and what information in those files have specifically changed. And then only uploads those specific changes. For example: You have a Word document that is very big (say 4 Megabyte) and you add one word to it. At your next backup ONLY that one word will be uploaded NOT the whole 4 Megabyte file.
